We believe in the power of architecture to improve lives.
Our designs put the needs of people first, creating spaces and places that welcome, inspire and delight.
At LGA, we treat every project with equal passion and commitment. We understand that a project’s success depends on the quality of our collaboration with the client. This is why we invest time to nurture our working relationships. We are highly approachable, analytic and creative – a rare combination of qualities that helps us to really understand clients’ needs. Unusually for a creative practice, clients value our ability to confidently deliver projects right through from conception to completion.
Our practice includes space planners, architects and designers, who collaborate closely with each other, the client and stakeholders to create bold and imaginative responses to the brief.
We pride ourselves on delivering projects that consistently surpass expectations and attract prestigious industry awards, while offering outstanding value.
Our portfolio includes civic buildings, workplaces, housing, theatres, shops and restaurants.
Every project we work on benefits from our strategic approach to design, our technical knowledge and most of all, a flair for creating places that people love to be in.
We deeply appreciate the importance of environmental and economic sustainability, creating designs that are future-proofed, robust and flexible. The Architecture Foundation named us one of the top 100 practices to emerge in the past ten years.
SERVICES
We are a creative practice with a respect for people, context and history, creating bold new additions that enhance existing streetscapes. Our strong leadership allows us to see projects through from concept to completion, and we focus on delivering projects on time and on budget.
Our space planners analyse how a space will be used, zone it by activity, define circulation patterns, and specify hardware – all underpinned by careful consideration of how design decisions will affect the end user.
People deserve to live, work and play in healthy, inspiring places that improve their happiness, productivity and wellbeing. We create award-winning interiors for clients including The Royal Court Theatre, YMCA and the Royal College of Art.
Our specialist, accredited services include preparing heritage appraisals, condition surveys and listed-building applications, as well as upgrading building fabric and services. Our conservation team has worked on Grade I-listed buildings including King’s Cross Station and the Royal Palaces.

PROCESS
We pay close attention to client’s needs and aspirations for a project. Listening is a vital prerequisite for understanding, driven by sincere interest in the aims of our client and their brief. Clear communication is the foundation of projects that surpass their objectives.
Every project has a complex interplay of issues that influence its design and delivery. We research the local context of each project from all relevant angles: planning, regulatory, economic, social, security, architectural and historical. Our analytical approach helps us to harness a place’s unique character and needs, produce exemplary community engagement, and to make convincing planning arguments.
At the heart of our studio’s work is a commitment to produce innovative design solutions that are imaginative, pragmatic and that add value and delight. We place great importance not only on how buildings look, but on how they function, their construction, the way materials are used and how well they will age.
Our diverse specialisms and strong leadership help us to drive projects through to completion, with a commitment to deliver on time and in budget. Approachable, proactive and collaborative, we work closely with clients, project managers and contractors to fulfil key outputs and surpass expectations.
