TFL award LGA with three Lots on Framework

We have been appointed to three Lots on Transport for London’s design and engineering framework. TfL selected us for Non-transport Architecture, Commercial Architecture, and Urban Design. The framework will also be used for procurement by the Greater London Authority, all 32 London borough councils and the City of London. It runs until January 2024.

LGA wins 2020 Grand Prix
Fish Island Village crowned overall winner

We are delighted to announce that Fish Island Village has scooped top prize in the 2020 Evening Standard New Homes Awards. Our work for Peabody and Hill was chosen from 15 category winners to win the Grand Prix. We are especially proud as this is our second consecutive Evening Standard Grand Prix – in 2019 we won the prize for our work with London Square and Peabody at Caledonian Road.

Second LLDC masterplan scheme

Lyndon Goode Architects (LGA) have submitted detailed plans for 31 homes and employment space in Hackney Wick, after winning the project through an invited competition.

The scheme at 119 Wallis Road is part of the Hackney Wick Fish Island Retrospective Masterplan, winner of the 2019 Planning Award for Placemaking at High Densities.

Meridian Water, Phase Two

LGA has been shortlisted for the second phase of the Meridian Water project in Enfield, as part of an LDP2 consortium. The scheme includes 252 homes – 100% affordable – and 3,000 sqm of light industrial uses, to be delivered in a way that meets the aspiration for zero carbon by 2030.

LGA appointed to Network Rail
framework

Network Rail has appointed Lyndon Goode Architects to both architecture Lots on its Project Delivery Framework, covering projects and general works. We are one of only three practices to be appointed to both Lots, and look forward to working on rail, retail, housing and regeneration projects. Network Rail is currently accelerating the release of development sites to help support the Government’s new homes target.

New homes in Hounslow

21 spacious flats will replace a single dwelling as part of a development at Bath Road in the London Borough of Hounslow. Submitted for planning, the proposed building includes generous private and public amenity including a rooftop communal garden and winter gardens. The design maximises views of the new Rectory Farm Park, which is directly opposite.

London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) has named the line-up for its new £50m architecture framework, including Lyndon Goode Architects, AHMM, Haworth Tompkins, Sheppard Robson and Allies and Morrison. Upcoming projects for London’s largest landlord will include masterplans, new builds, refurbishments and mixed-use developments.

Gingerbread City
LGA exhibits at the V&A museum

Albion Drive
Haggerston House Extension

We have completed a jewel-like extension and remodelled living area for a private terraced home in Hackney. The zinc-clad extension ‘hovers’ at upper ground-floor level on the rear elevation. It accommodates a south-facing study with full-height window, allowing the owner to work from home in style.

YMCA North London
Major overhaul reaches completion

Lyndon Goode Architects recently completed the transformation of YMCA North London’s fitness centre. Archive photography allowed us to return the 1929 art deco exterior to its original glory after decades of neglect and insensitive additions. A reconfigured interior informed by domestic design creates an unintimidating gym that welcomes everyone.

Lofty ambitions in St Philips Road
Innovative attic conversion unveiled

Lyndon Goode Architects have completed a profoundly unusual loft extension in a three-storey Victorian terraced house in Hackney. The dramatic, two-level master bedroom suite with double-height anteroom is achieved by reaching down into the storey below the loft. We also renovated the rest of the house, creating flexible interior spaces and introducing a unified, neutral scheme.
